No pay-for-placement
Businesses cannot pay to be listed, ranked higher, or presented more favorably. Listings and their order are never for sale, and claiming or updating a listing is free.
Listings are not endorsements
A business appearing on ThePriceBoard means we found a verifiable public price list for it — nothing more. We don't rate, recommend, or endorse the businesses we list.
Advertising stays separate
If ads are shown on the site, they are clearly distinct from listings. Advertising never influences which businesses are listed, the prices we show, or the order anything appears in.
Factual accuracy
Our commitment is to show what a business actually charges, sourced from the business itself or information it has made public. Every price list carries its source and a last-verified date, and a page is never published without a real price list. When we can't stand behind a listing's accuracy, we unpublish it.
How AI is used
We use AI-assisted extraction to read prices from business websites and posted signage. Extractions run through automated sanity checks, are spot-checked by a human, and are corrected whenever a visitor or owner reports a problem — see the correction policy.
